More sad pictures. This is Mike and Jane Nilan from Minneapolis. They are fellow students at CSA – the Spanish school. They have become good friends in a very short time. Cindy refers to Jane as the social activities director for the school. She has all the scoop on what to do, what’s going on, and where to get what. She even coordinated a student get together at a local restaurant one night for students to come and get to know each other. Even though we are at the school for at least four hours a day you really don’t meet that many of the other students.
We had known them for a couple of weeks. Eaten with them, took the trip to Pastores together (trip may be a little over-kill) It was about a 15 minute bus ride. Been to the house they are renting, hung out together during the daily morning break at school . Done quite a bit with them. After a couple of weeks Jane says to Cindy “I don’t even know your last name and we’ve done all this together.” Cindy tells her our last name and then says “I know yours. It’s Miller.” Jane then explains it’s not Miller. It’s Nilan. So Jane referred to herself as Jane “Miller” Nilan.
Anyway, this was their last day at the school. They are leaving on Thursday and we will miss them greatly. Now, who is going to coordinate the social activities and whom do we go to when we need to know something about Antigua or Guatemala? They will be missed.
